In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDxMelbourne will bring
together a diverse group of people to share ideas and inspiration, with a
focus on community and youth.
TEDxMelbourne will feature an inspiring range of speakers,
including: Andrew MacLeod, Jan Owen AM, Mike Penrose, Elliot Costello,
Tania Major, Lucinda Hartley, Adam Jaffrey, Steven Persson, Amanda
McKenzie, Chuck Berger, Kumari Middleton and Gerard Veltre.
Other highlights will include performances by Dig Deep, Radhey Shyam Gupta on sitar and poet/slammer Emilie Zoey Baker.
A free satellite event will be held simultaneously in Experimedia,
where you can watch all the talks on the big screen and enjoy an expo of
community organisations plus live performances.
TEDxMelbourne is an independently organised TED event under license from TED.com, presented in partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians and the State Library of Victoria.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx where x = independently organised TED event. Our event is call TEDxMelbourne.
At our TEDxMelbourne event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion, connection and sharing of ideas.
TED provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
